2018 Lancashire Life Food & Drink Awards Winners
Culinary stars from across Lancashire and the Lake District were hailed at the 2018 Lancashire Life & Lake District Like Food and Drink Awards staged at Ribby Hall Village on the Fylde.
The event, hosted by TV and radio presenter Andy Crane, attracted more than 300 guests who gathered in the Woodlands Suite to hear who had won the top prizes in a dozen hotly fought categories.
The main award, for chef of the year, went to Mark Birchill, who has just picked up two Michelin stars for his stunning Moor Hall restaurant at Aughton in West Lancashire. His casual dining restaurant, The Barn, also won the best newcomer award, Steven Smith’s Freemasons at Wiswell was the restaurant of the year and the top Lake District award went to The Samling near Windermere.
